Taking a records page down, and putting it back
Take the page down at any time. Until the car is handed over, you can put it back up at no charge.
From the car's page, Take down stops the records page being public straight away. Nothing is deleted, and the car goes back to private.
Until the car is handed over, the Vinfirmed Sale stays with it. Reactivate puts the same page back up at the same link, with no new charge.
Once a handover completes, the page is archived instead. It stays at the same link, showing the records exactly as they stood on the handover date, marked no longer active. It shows the timeline, amounts and redacted documents from that day, and it isn't indexed by search engines.
The new owner can switch an archived page to private and back again at any time, at no charge. Either way it never shows anything they have added or changed since the handover. Their own records go public only with their own Vinfirmed Sale.
